Description
Blues rock for the Christmas season – there is no Christmas without a Christmas concert by Erja Lyytinen & friends!
Erja Lyytinen is a popular guitarist and singer, but she also hosts one of the most spectacular annual Christmas concerts in Finland, which features interesting artists in a festive atmosphere. At the 2026 concert, Lyytinen will take to the stage together with guest stars Petra Gargano and Jussu Pöyhönen.
The traditional concert programme features familiar elements such as guitar solos, some of Erja & friends’ favourite songs of all time, and new interpretations and rock arrangements of Christmas carols. The two-hour concert includes songs performed by the artists together, accompanied by Erja Lyytinen’s band, and also solo performances by Erja and the guests. Each guest contributes their own musical touch to the evening, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere for the audience. You can experience the same exhilarating joy that you would experience when opening a present while listening to your most beloved Christmas carols, but some rock classics have also made their way into the Christmas concert’s programme this year!
Erja Lyytinen, an internationally award-winning guitarist and singer, is well-known for her strong style of expression, which combines blues, rock and progressive influences. Her career, which has resulted in over 20 albums, and her extensive international touring and numerous awards and recognitions make her one of Finland’s most respected guitarists. In 2026, her 50th anniversary year will culminate in this tour.
Petra Gargano is known for being a member of the band Tiktak and for her successful solo career. Her strong interpretations of music and presence have made her a beloved performer. Christmas is a special time of the year for Petra. Her version of the Christmas song Tulkoon joulu has already amassed over 840,000 streams on Spotify, and she has previously performed on the Raskasta joulua tours and elsewhere, bringing the Christmas spirit to concert halls and homes alike with her music.
Jussu Pöyhönen is best known for his career as a singer and songwriter for the band Suurlähettiläät, on the radio and in musical theatre. His style is characterised by his melodious voice, a strong groove and personal lyrics. Who better to bring the Christmas spirit to people’s hearts than an artist known and loved by the entire nation, with his iconic voice and interpretations?
Come and enjoy an upbeat and rocking Christmas season wit
