FRSO & Anja Bihlmaier & Sergei Krylov

Can a violin have a human soul? Certainly, for Sofia Gubaidulina, it was capable of expressing the profoundest of emotions, and it’s hard to imagine a more committed advocate than Sergei Krylov for her huge, yearning Offertorium.
So, how to follow that? Fiddles catch fire in Schönberg’s multicoloured re-imagining of Brahms’s best-loved chamber work – a symphony by any other name, and an exuberant showcase for guest conductor Anja Bihlmaier.
